Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders
VA Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders services supports and maintains the health, independence, quality of life, and productivity of individuals with spinal cord injury and disorders throughout their lives. These objectives are accomplished through rehabilitation, sustaining medical, surgical and psychological care, patient and family education, and vocational care.
VA Health Care Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders program provides a number of inpatient and outpatient services to meet the needs of Veterans with spinal cord injury.
The Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders Center at the Syracuse VA Medical Center serves as the main site for Veterans in upstate New York needing spinal cord injury care. Veterans enrolled in a VA Medical Center have the option to choose this clinic or receive care at the VA Medical Center closest to them - or a combination of both.
