VA Now Offers In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Services for Veterans - The Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce amendments to regulations regarding fertility counseling and treatment available to certain Veterans and spouses. Improved Access to Care with Direct Scheduling Initiative - Veterans who are enrolled at VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS) began making appointments with their local VA Audiology and Optometry clinics on October 1. This is a significant change because enrolled Veterans previously had to visit their Primary Care Physician for a referral, even if they had no other health care issues. (12/23/2016)

New Chiropractic Residency Program - VA Western New York Healthcare System has been awarded initial accreditation for a new chiropractic residency program. The chiropractic residency program is one of five VA programs awarded accreditation by the Council on Chiropractic Education, of Scottsdale, AZ. Following a recent status review meeting, the Council conducted deliberations and reached a consensus decision to award initial accreditation to the residency program and “extends its congratulations to the chiropractic residency program on this achievement.” (08/26/2016)
