SYSTEM CELEBRATES WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH

 

VA Western New York Healthcare System will host a special event to celebrate Women’s History Month on Friday, March 16, at noon, Freedom Hall, room 301 at the Buffalo site - 3495 Bailey Avenue. The event will also be simultaneously telecasted to Batavia VA Medical Center’s Building 3, Room110A.

The 2018 Women’s History Month theme is “Hear Our Voice – Nevertheless She Persisted – Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.”    

The featured keynote speaker for Women’s History Month will be Ms. Lisa Lehning, RN, MSN, CNS, who has been the Associate Director for Patient and Nursing Services at Canandaigua VA Medical Center since March of 2017. She is a retired Army Nursing Corps Colonel who has held many leadership positions within the Army Medical Department, and has served multiple tours overseas to include two deployments to Afghanistan. She is the recipient of many military medals including the Bronze Star and has earned the Air Assault and Expert Field Medical Badge.

All are welcome to attend this event; light refreshments will be served.
