Visual Art Exhibit Showcases Veterans Works National Veterans Creative Arts Festival Preview

 

                 Buffalo, New York - Veterans from around the Nation whose art works won in this year’s National Veterans Creative Arts Festival will be on display at VA Western New York Healthcare System, Visual Art Exhibit, 3495 Bailey Avenue in Buffalo, Wednesday, June 7 in Freedom Hall, room 301 from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

 

                 Wining artwork representing 51 categories to include pastels, knotting, oil, figurine, carving, pottery will be exhibited from Veterans from many of the 50 states ranging from Hawaii, California, New Jersey, Maine, Colorado, and Mississippi at the June 7 Buffalo Visual Art Exhibit. One local winner, “Interflection” by James Becker stood out in the Military Combat Experience category.

 

            This exhibit is an introduction to the 2017 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival taking place in Buffalo, October 23-30 at Adams Mark Hotel and UB Center for the Arts, where selected from a nationwide competition, the Veterans exhibit their visual artwork and gold medal-winning written work and present a live stage show performance, spotlighting the five creative arts therapies of art, drama, dance, music and creative writing. “This showcase of talented Veterans, highlights the therapeutic benefits of the arts,” shared Pamela Kaznowski, VA Western New York Healthcare System Recreation Therapy Manager and Host site coordinator. “The June event is a sneak peek of the quality and variety of work coming up in October. We are thrilled to be hosting this in Buffalo, a city rich in the arts.”
