                                 Veterans and Military Appreciation Day

VA Western New York Healthcare System and Chautauqua County Veterans Service Office will be on site at Diethrick Park, Friday, July 29 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Jamestown Jammers baseball game as part of Veterans and Military Appreciation Day.

Veterans may not be aware they have VA and other benefits available to them. Veterans are encouraged to learn more about these benefits to improve their quality of life. Veterans who have recently been separated from service have five years of no cost health care available. All Veterans are encouraged to enroll in VA health care as it satisfies the health care law’s requirement to have health care coverage (Affordable Care Act). Vietnam era Veterans can receive a 50th Commemoration pin and proclamation.

Veterans have had the opportunity to get VA health care in Jamestown since 1995, the first of seven community based outpatient clinics under VA Western New York Healthcare System.  Primary care, behavioral health services and on-site laboratory services are available at the site located at 610 3rd Street. For more information, please call(716) 862-8753.
