VA Honors Veterans

Veterans Day Celebrations


Veterans Day celebrations will be taking place at VA Western New York Healthcare System and in the community honoring those who served in the military. Everyone is invited to these celebrations honoring America's Veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Saturday, November 8, 11am, Veterans Day Parade

Veterans groups, civic groups and other Veteran supporters will march in the 2014 Veterans Day Parade in Buffalo. Lineup is at Delaware Avenue and Edward Street with step off at 11 a.m. travelling down Delaware Avenue, ending at City Hall.

Monday, November 10, 1:00 p.m. - Buffalo site, 3495 Bailey Avenue

Traditional Veterans Day program is open to all in Freedom Hall; Room 301 at the Buffalo site. LTC Patrick Soos, US Army (Retired) will deliver the keynote address.

Tuesday, November 11, 10 a.m. - Batavia site, 222 Richmond Avenue

Veterans Day Ceremony is held by the flag pole outside Building 3 on the grounds of the Batavia site. An observance along with a rifle salute will precede a coffee social in Building 4 recreation hall.
