VA Springville Clinic Grand Opening Ceremony

The official VA Springville Clinic grand opening ceremony will take place on Friday, February 6, 2015, at 10 a.m. The new clinic is located at 15 Commerce Street, Springville, New York. Light refreshments will be
served and local officials are expected to attend. The clinic has been fully operational since November 3.

“VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics like Springville afford Veterans more convenient access to care, closer to home,” stated Brian Stiller, VA Western New York Healthcare System Medical Center Director.
Enrollment opportunities for VA health care will be made available at this event. Veterans are encouraged to bring discharge papers and 2014 financial and tax information for proper health care benefits counseling.

As a general guideline, VA health care benefits are available for Veterans returning from combat that includes five years of free medical care for most conditions from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The five
year window is also open to activated Reservists and members of the National Guard, if they served in a theater of combat operations after November 11, 1998 and were discharged under other than dishonorable conditions.

The five-year limit has no effect upon veterans with medical conditions related to their military service. Veterans may apply at any time after their discharge from the military, even decades later for medical care for
service-connected health issues.
