WHO: VA Western New York Healthcare System

WHAT: VA Western New York Healthcare System‘s Clothesline Project; raising awareness regarding military sexual trauma, sexual assault, and sexual abuse.

WHERE: VA Western New York Healthcare System, 3495 Bailey Ave., Buffalo, NY 14215, Freedom Hall

WHEN: Wednesday, April 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHY: Veterans can participate in “The Clothesline Project” in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  “The Clothesline Project” is a visual display to raise awareness regarding military sexual trauma, sexual assault, and sexual abuse.  All three of these issues affect both genders, in all ranks, in all branches of service. Both male and female Veterans are encouraged to attend this event.  Attendees are invited to participate by decorating a t-shirt in a way that reflects his or her experience of sexual trauma and recovery.  Supplies will be included for all who wish to participate.
