Veterans Sled Hockey Tournament

The Buffalo Warriors, Buffalo Sabres Foundation, Buffalo Sabres Alumni, National Fuel and USA Disabled Hockey are hosting the First Annual Buffalo Warriors Sled Cup 2013.

For 2 days, November 15 and 16, Veterans of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan and Veteran supporters will compete in a sled hockey tournament at the Northtowns Center at Amherst.

Sled hockey is one of the recreational therapy programs gaining in popularity at Walter Reed Hospital and Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals.  It is supported by various National Hockey League teams. This event will bring players from Fort Drum, home of the Army’s Famed 10th Mountain Division, to compete in Buffalo for the first time. 

When: Friday, November 15 – games at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
            Saturday, November 16 – games at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

All games are open the public. Veterans look forward to the publics attendance and support.
