A special presentation of an ice cream machine will take place Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Freedom Hall, room 301 at the Buffalo site of VA Western New York Healthcare System, 3495 Bailey Avenue.  Twenty groups raised funds to purchase the $8,000 machine for Veterans that will be used for recreational therapy activities at the site. 

Generous donors include: Ken-Ton Elks Lodge #1492, Dunkirk Elks Lodge #922, Lancaster Elks Lodge #1478, Lockport Elks Lodge # 41, Niagara Falls Elks Lodge #346, North Tonawanda Elks Lodge #860, Depew American Legion Post #1528, Lancaster Am Vet Post, Niagara County Community Department, Kenmore American Legion Post #205, Kenmore VFW Post #2472, Lockport Marine Devil dogs, Lockport American Legion Post #410, Lockport Overseas Vets Club, Kenmore Korean War Veterans, Mr. & Mrs. Veihdeffer, Buffalo Veterans Association, N.Y.S. West District #6520, and New York State Elks Association.

“We appreciate the generosity of all the people who contributed to this,” stated Pamela Kaznowski, Recreation Therapy Supervisor. “This really is a sweet treat for Veterans we care for.”
