On Friday, October 16, VA Western New York Healthcare System will celebrate Pampered Pink Friday. This day represents our support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Everyone has been encouraged to wear pink to work as a sign of recognition of the significance that breast cancer has to health care, families, loved ones and to our community.
At the Buffalo VA Medical Center, located at 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Veterans, employees and visitors will be greeted with pink ribbon pins and information in the lobby and C-wing entrance. Pampered Pink Friday will be held in Freedom Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, in partnership with Erie County Chapter of the Links, Inc. and WNY Breast Cancer Center and will include hair trims, makeovers, manicures and educational information. Refreshments will be provided, along with giveaways. A group photo will take place at noon. Everyone is invited to participate.
At the Batavia VA Medical Center, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020, informational displays will be in place in the Primary Care Clinic.
