National VA Official to Speak on Equality Day

Dr. Betty Moseley Brown, Associate Director of VA Center for Women Veterans,Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC will speak to Veterans, employees and visitors as VA Western New York Healthcare System observes Women’s Equality Day. The event takes place Friday, August 22 at noon in Freedom Hall at the Buffalo site, 3495 Bailey Avenue.

Women’s Equality Day commemorates when women officially were allowed to vote when it became part of the US Constitution. VA Center for Women Veterans advocates for women Veterans by monitoring and coordinating VA’s administration of health care and benefits services, and programs. In addition, serves as an advocate for a cultural transformation (both within VA and in the general public) in recognizing the service and contributions of women Veterans and women in the military. "We are honored that Dr. Mosely Brown will be with us for this special occasion, said Brian Stiller, Medical Center Director." "Women Veterans and employees have contributed so much to history, health care, research and all industries to improve the well-being of all."
