NCO Club Grand Opening Ceremony at Batavia VA

Veterans who reside in the Community Living Centers at VA Western New York Healthcare System in Batavia will celebrate the opening of the NCO (non-commissioned officers) Club, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in room 305 of building 1, at 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY.

The NCO Club is a place where Veterans can relax and meet with their families and friends in a social “club like” environment. The club is accessible and intended for community living center resident use. Televisions, kitchen capabilities, and board games will be part of the daily activities featured within the club’s lounge areas.

The NCO Club accessories were made possible through donations from Orleans Vets Club from Albion, Patriot Guard and other generous organizations. “The NCO Club is a great environment to engage Veterans in social interaction and activities,” stated Royce Calhoun, Assistant Medical Center Director. “It exhibits the patient centered care we strive to achieve, enhancing Veterans’ lives.” Refreshments will be served after the short ribbon cutting ceremony with Veteran residents, medical staff, and VA officials expected to attend.
