Disabled Veteran Skiers Hit the Slopes at Holiday Valley

On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, Veterans with disabilities will be treated to a fun day of skiing
hosted by the Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program at Holiday Valley Ski Resort in Ellicottville, New York.
The ski program will kick-off from the Lounsbury Lodge at Holiday Valley at 8 am and continue until
4 pm. Depending on the weather, ten to forty Veterans from all over Western New York,
Pennsylvania, and Ohio turn out to participate in the Adaptive Ski Program.

Each year ski passes are generously donated by skiers of “The Hill” at Holiday Valley. Disabled
Veterans who take part in the program ski at no cost, while family members can ski for $30, which
includes lift ticket and ski rentals. For more information on this event, please call Pam Kaznowski,
Supervisor, VA Recreation Therapy at 716-862-6814.
