Connect Fest

Offers Resources for Women Who Have Served 


A special event, Connect Fest for Women who currently serve or have served in the military, Guard or Reserves will take place Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Erie Community College City Campus, 121 Ellicott Street, in Buffalo.

Women who served in the military are encouraged to learn about resources available for them and take advantage of the benefits they have earned.  Representatives will be available to provide information about VA health care benefits, education, interviewing skills, job opportunities, health information, child services, legal services, tango/zumba/exercise and more. The event is being offered by VA Western New York Healthcare System, WNY Veterans Housing Coalition, Daughters of the American Revolution, Erie Community College and Veterans One-Stop Center. Bring a copy of your discharge papers, (DD-214) and 2014 financial information for proper benefits counseling.  Catered lunch, refreshments and door prizes will be offered to those who attend.  For more information, call 716-515-5844 or 898-0110, x101.
