Brian Stiller was appointed Medical Center Director at VA Western New York Healthcare System February 26, 2012. A native of Western New York, he previously served as Director of Togus VA Medical Center since July 2007.
Prior to his assignment at Togus, Mr. Stiller served as Associate Director of Minneapolis VA Medical Center from January 2004 until July 2007and Associate Director of Beckley VA Medical Center from August 2001 to January 2004.
Mr. Stiller is a veteran of the United States Navy who graduated from State University College (SUC) at Buffalo with honors and went on to obtain his masters in Health Systems Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Stiller began his career with Department of Veterans Affairs in 1991 at Northport (New York) VAMC. Starting in Human Resources, Mr. Stiller's career progressed through positions of greater responsibility from Human Resources Specialist, to EEO Manager, Staff Assistant to the Medical Center Director, Staff Assistant to the Network Director VISN 2, Associate Director and Director.

Associate Medical Center Director
Royce Calhoun was named Associate Medical Center Director April, 2016. Mr. Calhoun has served his entire VA career with VA Western New York Healthcare System where he started as an Accounting Technician. Since that time, he has assumed progressively broader roles to include that of a Budget Analyst, Financial Manager, and most recently Assistant Medical Center Director.
He received a Masterâ€™s Degree in Health Administration from the University of Colorado and is a graduate of the VA Health Care Leadership Institute.
Mr. Calhoun has also served as the Batavia VAMC site manager and has a strong ability to promote and maintain cooperative working relationships while implementing and organizing projects to meet time, budget and quality objectives. His experience, passion, dedication, and excitement about serving Veterans, employees and community partners will be a great asset to VAWNYHS.

Assistant Medical Center Director
Danielle Bergman is currently serving as the Assistant Medical Center Director at VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS). Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Human Resources Manager for VAWNYHS since 2013.
She began her VA career in 2007 at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center as a Human Resources Technical Career Field Intern and then served as a Human Resources Specialist. Following her service at Canandaigua, she worked for VA Health Care Upstate New York - Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 2) in Albany, NY as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist.
Bergman graduated summa cum laude from St. John Fisher College in 2005 with a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Business Administration and a certification in Service Leadership and in 2007 summa cum laude with a Masterâ€™s degree in Human Resource Development. She is also a 2016 graduate of the VA Health Care Leadership Development Program.
Dr. Grace L. Stringfellow | 716-862-8530
Chief of Staff
Dr. Grace Stringfellow joined VA Western New York Healthcare System as Chief of Staff on March 20, 2016. Dr. Stringfellow is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Prior to that she was the Chief of Staff at the Nebraska Western Iowa VA Medical Center since 2014. She also served as the Chief of Staff for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center for two years and the Chief of Staff at the Amarillo VA Health Care System for four years.
She received her M.D. from the University of Texas health Science Center in Houston Texas, and completed her Residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Stringfellow is a member of the VHA National Chief of Staff Committee, a fellow with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as a fellow with the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians. She has also published on various topics including Dermatomal Somatosensory evoked Potentials and the Prognostic and Diagnostic Implications of Somatosensory Evoked Potentials in the Traumatically Brain Injured Population.

Associate Director for Patient/Nursing Services
Patricia Hryzak Lind has been appointed Associate Director for Patient Nursing Services/ Nurse Executive for VA Western New York Healthcare System effective December 16, 2013. From 2000-2013, she was the Associate Director for Patient Nursing Services at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center and Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic. Ms. Lind is dedicated to working together to provide high quality care to Veterans and their families.
Ms. Lind was recently honored receiving the 2013 Upstate New York March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award for Leadership and the New York Organization of Nurse Executives â€“ Finger Lakes Region: Best Practices Award and Excellence in Nursing Leadership Award. She enjoys being a VHA certified mentor.
Ms. Lindâ€™s educational background includes a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester, a Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Utica/Rome and a Diploma in Nursing from The Genesee Hospital. She completed additional graduate level course work at the University of Rochester in Nursing Administration and a post-masterâ€™s certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellows Program in Management for Nurse Executives.
Prior to her employment with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ms. Lind worked at Preferred Care as the Director of Health Management and Clinical Product Support, at the University of Rochester as the Director of Education, faculty member and clinical nurse specialist and as a Practice Administrator/ Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Anthony L. Jordan Health Center.
