During National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, VA Western New York Healthcare System will be showing works of art created by local Veterans. The free show will include fine art, creative writing and crafts as well as other forms of art.

All are invited to view the display at Freedom Hall, room 301 of the Buffalo VA Medical Center.  Veteran-created art will be on display Feb. 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The best works will be entered in the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. Several Buffalo area Veterans have placed highly in this national competition.

Artists, musicians, dancers and craft makers can enter the local competition by contacting Ralph Sirianni at (716) 862-8643, Patrick McGowan at (716) 862-7376 or Pamela Kaznowski at (716) 862-6814. The deadline for entries is Tues. Feb. 7.


Participants must be Veterans registered with a VA Medical Center or one of its clinics. To enroll in VA Health Care call 1-888-823-9656.
