An open house was held on July 25, for the newly renovated Substance Abuse Treatment area.  Over a 145 individuals attended the open house including thirty-three community agencies representing law enforcement, community partners in substance abuse treatment, Erie and Niagara County Veterans Courts, Niagara Falls Air Force Base, and University at Buffalo Research Associates.

The event highlighted the completion of a one million dollar renovation project and major program enhancements for the Substance Abuse Treatment program.  The renovated area provides more community living space and patient privacy including private bathrooms. Program enhancements include the Peer Support program which helps Veterans recover from addiction by learning from others who have recovered.
