Veterans who participated in the PGA H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) five week golf program traveled to Rochester for the 95th PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester.  The opportunity came about by the PGA Foundation and local PGA office in Williamsville who introduced golf to Veterans in partnership with VA Western New York Healthcare System recreation therapy program and Erie County.  Veterans learned skills from local PGA pros to assist with mental and physical rehabilitation, improving strength, confidence, and overall well-being.  To participate in future golf recreation therapy programs, contact Patrick McGowan at 862-7376.
