My HealtheVet: VA’s Award Winning Personal Health Record
Launched nationwide in 2003, My HealtheVet offers Veterans and active duty service members’ internet access to health care information, resources and tools anytime and anywhere. By logging on at www.myhealth.va.gov and completing the process, users of My HealtheVet are empowered to become active partners in their health care and given access to trusted, secure and informed VA health and benefits information at their convenience.
America’s heroes wishing to get the most out of My HealtheVet are urged to visit their local VA health care facility to get an upgraded account by completing the in-person authentication process. By completing this simple process, users will be able to refill their VA prescriptions online, view their VA appointments and receive personal VA wellness reminders. In addition, authenticated My HealtheVet users who opt-in will be able to send and receive secure messages with participating VA health care provider teams.
