VA Western New York Healthcare System and Batavia Veterans Alumni Association are honoring Veterans, who went through the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder program and passed away, by placing the Veterans name on a brick to go in the Memorial Walkway.  On Saturday, June 7th  a ceremony was held at the Jack Wisby Post Traumatic Stress Disorder building in Batavia.  This year five Veterans will have their names added to the walkway to join forty other Veterans who have gone through the program.
"This project was initiated by Veterans who have gone through the program in coordination with VA, stated Jill Murray,Behavioral Health Care Line Manager.  “The partnership is a demonstration of the success peer
support brings to Veterans in recovery.”

The walkway is made possible by donations.  If you are interested in making a donation or learning more about the program contact the Batavia PTSD Residential Program at 585-297-1207.
