The Angola VFW Auxiliary Post 5796 and American Legion Auxiliary Post 928 hosted the 3rd annual Baby Shower for women Veterans receiving their care from VA Western New York Healthcare System on Sunday, April 27, 2014. About 60 women attended and donated over $5,000 in baby items for pregnant women Veterans receiving VA care.  Jill Lamantia, Womens Program Manager and Patient Advocate, gave a presentation on VA services for women, and explained how VA cares for over 50 pregnant women a year.  This year’s event was dedicated to Betty Butler who created this event, and passed away last year.  Butler’s daughter attended this event from Tennessee to attend in memory of her mother.
